Fan Controlled Football (FCF)
Way back in 2015, our founders had a crazy idea - let's buy a football team and turn all the decisions over to the fans. We actually pulled it off with an arena football team in Salt Lake City. The fans named the team the Screaming Eagles, then designed the logo and jerseys, helped us recruit players, hired their coach, and even picked what beer they had on tap. The team did better than they could have ever expected, the real-time play calling technology worked well and they built a rabid fan-base around the world. Our proof-of-concept success opened our eyes to the potential of an entire league of fan-controlled teams, which led us to secure a distribution partnership with Twitch, bringing on some awesome team owners, and closing a funding round led by Lightspeed and Verizon Ventures that would help us launch Fan Controlled Football Season v1.0. We're heading into Season 2 and excited to have you along for the ride.
