(“PathMatch” or “we”) collects, uses and shares when you interact with our mobile app (the “App”) or website www.PathMatch.com (together, the “Site”) by creating a profile with us an individual user who is a job seeker, or as a corporate user and potential employer, through the use of our proprietary data analytics software (together with the App and the Site, our “Services”).

PathMatch provides various data analytics Services to connect adult college student job seekers with prospective employers. PathMatch collects personal information from individual job seekers, and information about job opportunities from employers. Users are individual job seekers or may be  individual representatives of PathMatch corporate customers that are potential employers (collectively, “You” or “Users”). Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Statement sets forth our policy with respect to the collection, use and disclosure of information that is collected from you on any Site. By using a Site, you agree to the data collection, use, disclosure and storage practices described in this Privacy Statement[LR1] [ns2] .

Before using our Site, job seekers should read and familiarize themselves with this privacy policy and the privacy and other policies and procedures of prospective employers, which may differ from PathMatch’s policies. 

Please read this policy carefully to understand our policies and practices regarding your information and how we will treat it. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, do not download, register with, or use our website or app. We collect information about you in a range of forms, including personal information, when you choose to provide it to us. Personal information (or personal data) means information about an individual from which that person can be identified. It does not include personal information where the identity has been removed (anonymous personal information). This includes when you use the Services and may include when you contact us with inquiries or otherwise contact us.

We do not sell your information to third parties.

When you interact with us through the Services, we may collect information from you, as further described below.

Information You Provide to Us

PathMatch collects data from and about Users when you download, register with, or use Services. PathMatch does not collect any information directly from educational institutions.The information we collect may include your: name, address, email address, telephone number, mobile telephone number, geolocation information, demographic information (gender, preferred pronouns, race/ethnicity), educational information (higher educational institution(s) attended, planned graduation date, self-reported GPA), work experience, self-reported eligibility to work, skills, interests, and any other information you provide while you use our Services such as a login or password.

Information may also include geolocation information or any other information you provide while you use our Services such as login or password, information you provide while filling out forms or surveys, or your search queries. If you use a third party service to link to us or communicate with us (such as a social network or third party video chat), we may receive certain information about you from the third party based on your registration and privacy settings on those third party services. We may create user accounts on your behalf on third party sites that you identify, which we will maintain on your behalf.

If you are an individual user, we also collect, store and retain any information that you enter on our Site in order to match you with prospective employers[LR13] [ns14] . We retain this information to facilitate your use of the Services.

This Site is not intended to collect personal health information or other sensitive information about you. Any[LR15] [ns16]  such information should remain with your prospective employer and should be shared and used only in accordance with your potential employer’s privacy and other policies and procedures.

Information Collected From Other Sources

We may obtain information about you from other sources, including social networks that you use to connect with Us. This information may include name, user name, demographic information, updated address or contact information, interests, and publicly-observed data, such as from social media and online activity.

Information Obtained from Third Parties

If you provide us with personal information about others, or if others give us your information, we will only use that information for the specific reason for which it was provided to us, for example, if you have agreed to share information with one of our partners, we may add this information to the information we already hold about you.

Information Use

The PathMatch data analytics software uses information provided by Users to help job seekers create profiles and better understand their hireability and compatibility for employment, and evaluate traits such as ambition, strengths and weaknesses, and to help employers evaluate job seeker profiles. 

We may also use the information we collect from and about you to[LR17] [ns18] :

  • Be viewed and accessed by other Users, including potential employerss;
  • Recommend potential jobs and job applicants;
  • Conduct research and analysis, such as developing your hireability score and develop other profile-related analyses and metrics;
  • Send you requested product or service information;
  • Respond to customer service requests;
  • (With your consent), send you a newsletter and marketing communications;
  • Respond to your questions and concerns;
  • Improve the content and functionality of our Site, the Services and marketing efforts;
  • Display content based upon your interests;
  • Comply with applicable laws, including to respond to requests from public and government authorities;
  • Enforce this Privacy Statement;
  • Protect our rights, privacy, safety or property, and/or that of you or others.
  • Develop new programs, products or services

The usage information we collect helps us to improve our Services and to deliver a better and more personalized experience by enabling us to:

  • With other Users or potential employers  in order to provide the  Services;
  • With affiliated third parties (such as our affiliates or subsidiaries) that we believe may provide promotional materials, and goods and services that may be of interest to you;

Information We Automatically Collect and Cookie Policy

As is true of most websites and mobile apps, we automatically gather information about your computer such as your IP address, browser type, referring/exit pages, and operating system.

Automatic Information Collection and Tracking

When you download, access, and use the App, it may use technology to automatically collect:

  • Usage Details. When you access and use the App, we may automatically collect certain details of your access to and use of the App, including [traffic data,] [location data,] [logs,] [and other] communication data and the resources that you access and use on or through the App.

If you do not want us to collect this information, do not download the App or delete it from your device. Note, however, that opting out of the App's collection of location information will disable its location-based features.

 

We may use cookies, web beacons, pixel tags, log files, or other technologies to automatically collect certain information when you use our Services or interact with our emails and online or mobile advertisements. For example, we may automatically collect certain non-personal information from you such as your mobile device identifier or MAC address, browser type, operating system, device model, software version, Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, mobile or ISP carrier information, and the domain name from which you accessed the Services. Service Providers will have access to your personal information needed to perform their business functions, but may not use or share that personal information for other purposes. These companies are authorized to use your personal information only as necessary to provide these services to us.

Your California Privacy Rights

California Civil Code Section §1798.83 permits users of our site that are California residents to request certain information regarding our disclosure of Personal Information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. If we change the Privacy Statement in a material way, we will provide appropriate notice to you.
