SVB Financial Group was founded in 1983 by Bill Biggerstaff and Robert Medearis. SVB Financial Group completed its IPO in 1988 and began trading on the NASDAQ. SVB Financial Group then focused on expanding its office into fifteen states within the United States and now has offices in Israel, Ireland, Germany, and Canada.

The Associate Development Program is a 15-20 month program for talented recent college graduates and working professionals. Individuals participating in this program are able to gain hands-on experience and training within areas like credit risk management, loan portfolio management, and client relationship skills. This program is intended to be a gateway to full-time employment within SVB Financial and its subsidiaries.
Summer Internship Program
The SVB Financial Group Summer Internship is a 10-12 week program for current college students. During the program, students are integrated into SVB teams and gain hands-on banking experience. Additionally, students are able to network with career executives and gain insight into financial services.
