What

Hewlett Packard

Looks For

Culture is very important to HP. The company wants people who are customer-focused, collaborative, results-orientated, innovative, and have a desire to make a difference. They recruit seasoned professionals along with scouting potential workers at college campuses. They look for people who want to specifically work at HP, and who can explain what they will bring to the job.

History of

Hewlett Packard

Formed in 2015, it was renamed from the personal computer and printer divisions of the original Hewlett-Packard Company, with the company’s enterprise product and business services divisions becoming Hewlett Packard Enterprise. Early in the companies history, Hewlett Packard created a more informal workplace environment and used a “management by objective” approach. It consistently ranks among the best places to work for women and minorities, and is one of the leading contributors to charitable organizations.

Interview Process

Programs have rolling deadlines. While different jobs at HP require different processes, it generally takes several weeks before you find out if you make the cut for a job position. Some positions require a written round and technical round in addition to interviews.

1. Initial Phone Screen

The first step is a brief phone conversation to quickly go over the candidate's background and interests and see if they should be moved to the next round.

2. In-Person Interview

The next step is an in-person interview to get a better feel for culture fit and assess your qualifications.
